I'm no longer as miserable as I was yesterday. My moods have been swinging wildly lately and they are difficult to control. Poor Super Hula gets the brunt of it, and I guess you do too. Your feedback has been helpful and sweet and I'm undeserving of such kind readers. Thank you. (I've already properly thanked Super Hula, in case you were wondering.)

In other Pinchly news:

I'm hoping for a promotion and I'll hear soon. My boss was rather non-committal during the review, but I'm fairly confident the consensus meetings will go well. I've made some pretty significant changes there and the feedback has been very positive--something unheard of for an IS department in a large company.

I still have no voice and a touch of bronchitis (from my bout with the flu, the gift that keeps on giving). I can do a pretty good Brenda Vaccaro impression, "Fight pain with Anacin…and WIN!" Mostly I sound like Marge Simpson.

I'm listening to Freddie King and digging it.

There's a good chance my friend, Crystal (not her real name, but I think she'll like this one), is moving to Indianapolis. She was my first friend in Chicago and probably the best friend I have here. She will be desperately missed if she gets that job. You know, I want good things for her, but I want good things for me too! Good things for me mean having her HERE.

I got another mystery postcard in the mail the other day. Super Hula didn't see it, thank goodness. They freak him out and he hates them, but they make me laugh and laugh. Like all the others, this one is an old postcard. The picture is of some bridge in Key West with 60's chicks looking into the water. On the back, the mystery postcard writer penned, "PINCH!! I EMPRESSED THESE GIRLS BY HOLDING MY BRETH A LONG TIME!!" The postmark was Florida. The others were postmarked from Georgia, Ireland, Vegas and someplace else I can't remember. The Christmas card was postmarked, "Christmas, FL". Others on the newsgroups I frequent get them and it causes quite the controversy.

I'm enjoying my guitar class immensely and have learned to Travis pick like a demon.

Are you bored yet? Remember to come back and visit when you have insomnia. This diary is better than Nytol if you need a sleep aid, plus it's non-habit forming.

Good night.
