In my absence, please enjoy my latest work, entitled: WHAT ARE YOU A MORON?!!1 In direct violation of ____'s Computer Usage Policy (http://_____/ComputerUsage.pdf), a well intentioned, but misguided user decided to let all _____ e-mail users know about a web site that fights world hunger by addressing an e-mail to everyone in his address book. Unfortunately, without thinking or in an inconsiderate manner, over 450 individuals performed a "Reply to All". Each response generated over 65,000 messages that were circulated to the Exchange Servers. Many of those individuals added to the problem by using the "Return Receipt" option, which doubled the amount of messages being circulated to the Exchange Servers. This flurry of e-mails has affected the stability of all Exchange Servers by significantly overloading their capacity. There are means available to help stop the flow of such a Mail Storm and the Operations folks were called in over the holiday weekend to turn these on. This is the second time such event that has occurred, wasting valuable time and resources as well as interrupting family gatherings and events. We strongly urge all _____ users to exercise common sense and good judgement when using the e-mail system. When replying to an e-mail message, please check who you are sending the message to. If you are replying to a distribution list, ensure the entire distribution list is the appropriate recipient. In most cases, a reply to only the sender is necessary. Thank you for your cooperation.
